This may go in a couple of directions. I'm trying to get a PC132
upgraded with a G3/350 running OS9.1 (in stock configuration) to be
an internet router for my little house network, but I can't seem to
get it to utilize the ethernet card. I'm using IPNetRouter, and I've
installed an Asante card (with drivers) being seen in the C1 position
by ASP, but no joy with the rest of the LAN. Do I need to go with an
Apple branded card, or is there a trick I don't know? I'm going this
route because I can't get an SMC Barricade router to work at all,
dialup or cable. This is probably due to extreme ineptitude, as I've
tried several times with the Barricade. The rest of the machines on
the LAN are: 2 PTP's, a 7500/G3/350, and a LaserWriter, all seeing
each other wonderfully. Apologies for any omissions, and thanks for
any assistance.
