Quoting Sean Kennedy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Will > the OS 9.1 disk allow me to choose the new disk during the install process?
Yes. The installer will ask where you want to install the OS, and let you know whether there's enough space to install it on the selected HD. > Since I used a third party extension to format the disk and use it with this > PTP225 will 9.1 say something like "you need version ?.? of Apple HD Setup > to install this software". You'll get a disturbing looking dialogue box, immediately after one which states that device drivers are being updated, which states that the Apple drivers can't update the disk, and offer to let you quit the installation process, or continue. Choose continue, and the installation should proceed normally. > Anyone have any tips for how I'll go about this install when I get the disk? If the PTP CDROM player doesn't boot from the OS9 install disk (by holding down the 'C' key at startup, or the simultaneous combination 'Command-Option-Shift-delete'), then boot from the floppy, and,if both the HD and CD show up on the desktop, yer off and running. Installation will take about the same time as making a decent sandwich and cracking open a Mountain Dew.
