Too bad I didn't know about your PCP180 4 months ago. My identical machine
blew a power supply and developed a motherboard problem. I found a PCP150 on
ebay for $20 and swapped all my hardware into that chassis, including a G3
daughter card. It works fine, so alls well that ends well. Nice to know there
are still a few around in case I run into a similar problem again. I love the
machine, and rely on the old OS8.6 apps for a variety of tasks.

Subject: PowerCenter Pro 180

Hello all.
I have a PowerCenter Pro 180 which I have owned since I bought it new
many years ago. It has been a great computer, but it has long been a
large paperweight since I purchased a G4 4 years ago and a G5 just
under a year ago.

I still used it as a place to store fonts and to run some of my older
apps, but now it is no longer in use.

My questions are as follows:

1) I am very Mac and technologically savvy without being a programmer
so I am at a loss for how I could best use this machine when I have 3
much faster and more capable machines in use now. What could I do with
this to make it a useful part of my more advanced network?

2) If I don't use it...where could I find someone who would be
interested in a -- still in perfect working order -- PowerCenter Pro
180?

I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Thanks.

Darren
