The memory test was disabled a long time ago so that's not it. I've gone back to OS 9.1 and it has not bombed since. It was occuring before any extensions show up on the desktop and I'm guessing something was conflicting with OS9 helper possibly. I don't have all my apps loaded yet on the machine so I'll see what happens when I do. I don't really need OS 9.2 so it's no big deal if it was OS9Helper doing it. It's not like the regular start-up screen bomb, but a tiny bomb in the corner and no dialog box which is why I'm guessing it's OS9Helper since it changes the start-up screen from the original Apple start-up screen. I'll post back if it reaccures anytime soon.
