Greetings, all.
Well, I finally got my PowerBase 180 reinstalled. I was able to boot from a Mac OS 8.5 Disk Tools floppy and I used an external Apple CD600 SCSI drive to mount a CD.
Now the original OS is installed again. But the FWB CD-ROM Toolkit thinks the internal CD-ROM drive is not supported.
But wait - there's more!
Apple System Profiler SEES the "Power CD" in the internal drive, but I have no way to mount it! Any CD will mount in the external drive just fine.
I even replaced the internal drive with a SCSI CD600 from a PowerMac 7200 ... and no CDs mount in that drive either. But they're all visible in Apple System Profiler!
Any idea what's going on here? More importantly, any idea how to get this thing actually working the way it's supposed to work?
Thanks.
