WELL...., i cooked the dead chicken, and ate it. Got tired walking around doing nothing since i dont know the song.(ha ... ha ...ha)
..SO
I pull the machine guts out and i did these..., unplugged the unpluggable, then replugged them, put a new battery in..., took the old drive out,
put a Seagate harddrive in (4GB 7200RPM)..., reset the logicboard, and i still have the blinking "?". ....; Is that good now or bad?
The "?" blinker disappears when i hook up the external CD drive...;
I am planning to have the original harddrive (IBM 4GB) installed later as a second drive. It might be just dead as it can be....
(When i pulled it out, i noticed it was made in Hungary-it is interesting, because i am from Hungary too and i did not know they made harddrives ("winchesters") for IBM.
:o)
I guess i have to put the operating system on the new one HD, since its empty.
Can anyone walk me thru on this one? I never did this kind of operation before.
Thank You! Monika
