Having had a much happier experience with OS X on my iMac than RHB, I find myself with a pair of unemployed PowerTower 180e machines littering the floor of my home office.
I'd sure like to find something useful to do with them. About the best idea is to take one upstairs to the bedroom to use to listen to old episodes of "This American Life" via its web page (since my local public radio station evidently has dropped it from the lineup of Sunday afternoon shows). This, though, would require an extraordinarily long Ethernet cable or perhaps installing a PCI card in a PowerTower, which might not receive a strong enough connection to sustain streaming audio and would also cost more than the PowerTower would bring on the market now sans RAM, but that's a separate issue). Actually, that idea is growing on me. But what to do with the second one? What would be a useful, worthy undertaking for a fine old beige box such as that? -- Chuck -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:powercomputing@mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
