Hello everybody, new to the list and looking forward to learning from
everyone.
I am an experienced mac enthusiast, performa 400, 577, bondi imac
(dead), tangerine imac, 1ghz emac and now just recieved a powertowerpro
from a good friend.
I am trying to get 9.2.1 installed and the workarounds are not working,
meaning xpostfacto's OS9 helper. I keep getting the message 9.2.1
update.smi failed to copy correctly and the files have not been edited
to work on the machine. It has 4 hard drives, 2 cd bays. I cannot get
it to even load a 9.1 cd so I can rewrite the startup drive. Any ideas
on how to get this to work right? Think I should try downloading the
latest disc copy? I use the one on the 9.2.1 install cd, but could it
have been udpated since and is obsolete?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
thanks and Have a Happy New Year!
