It sounds a bit as if you copied by mistake the OLD database and
replaced the NEW database with the old one. Could that be?

To find all databases and find out which is the latest one on your
drives, do a search (via sherlock on the drive or command-F or whatever
the command is under OS 9 to find a file) and do a search for "Message
Database" and then look on the MODIFICATION date of the files and you
might find the "lost one" and discover you just opened by mistake an
older database instead of pointing PM to open the latest version of your
database.
