Hi Listers

I'm running Powermail 5 and recently upgraded my PowerBook (Pismo) G3
FireWire 2000 (500MHz with 1GB RAM and 40GB disk) from 10.3.8 to 10.4.2
and Powermail to 5.2.1

Great, all went well, except for Powermail frequently slows to a crawl
with both text appearing in the message field and displaying messages
when selecting them using cursor or arrow keys (I use the 3-pane view).

I tried using the Powermail First Aid procedures but to no avail - after
a while Powermail gets sluggish again and the only cure is a quit and re-open.

Frequency is sporadic, but on average it happens several times a day and
is a real PITA, usually just when I don't need it.

I keep about 2000 emails in the trash, set to delete after 14 days. I
don't have a whole lot of mail saved, only several hundred.

Does anything spring to mind that i may have missed? I've had a couple
of extra glasses of wine tonight, so fire away with suggestions - I'll
try anything as the actress said to the bishop.

*hic*

Best,

Cheers,
  Cotty
