It's that one-second delay I'm talking about. It's doing some work to display the list during that time. Whether it's actually rendering the graphics or accessing its database, I can't tell. But it's very slow to switch between folders, or page down in a list of messages within one folder. I switch between folders fairly often, so it slows down my work. Plus, I'd like to be able to go from the InBox folder to any other folder by pressing and holding the down-arrow button, but it takes way too long. I like to use keyboard navigation as much as possible. > I'm using 2 pane mode if it matters. Me too. > Thanks for hanging around and answering questions, BTW. You're welcome! Everyone has always been very helpful on this list, and I'm obliged to return the favor from time to time. Dan
