Hello Jérôme, >There was a compatibility problem with PM 5.1bx and Mac OS X 10.2.x, >which caused crashes when displaying HTML messages. It is fixed in the >last build (you can download it from <http://powermaildev.free.fr/4340>, >but it should be released officially shortly).
Thanks for the link. I have downloaded this and am using it now. >Also, another compatibility problem exists with 10.2.x when playing >certain sounds on certain machines; OK, I changed the sounds to be MacOS sounds only. >A third pattern in your crash logs seems related to drawing fonts. Scripts - Roman Use Font - Arial Custom - Verdana Please let me know if any of these might be a problem. >PM does not use mbox files. OK, but still... it is hard for me to believe that a total rebuild of a 450MB database requires 16 hours to complete. To me this looks like there is some inefficiency in the routines that rebuild the data. Partial rebuilds also take too long in my opinion, usually an hour or so. So if rebuilding is unavoidable, perhaps you can see about making it faster? It is the length of time that is the problem for a user, not necessarily the fact that it needs to rebuild. Also, the time to finish calculation is not functioning correctly. It does not start to give a more or less accurate estimation until the last hour. >I don't know either other people that have a recurrent problem like yours >with PM ;-) I'm glad to hear that. Of course I think you can understand my level of frustration :-) Steve
