Thanks for the log.

There was a compatibility problem with PM 5.1bx and Mac OS X 10.2.x,
which caused crashes when displaying HTML messages. It is fixed in the
last build (you can download it from <http://powermaildev.free.fr/4340>,
but it should be released officially shortly).

Also, another compatibility problem exists with 10.2.x when playing
certain sounds on certain machines; you may need to disable sound
notifications (in the general and notification preference panes), or use
sounds bundled with Mac OS (the last section in the popup menu) instead
of those bundled with PM. This problem has never been reported by 10.3 users.

A third pattern in your crash logs seems related to drawing fonts. Do you
use the default fonts in PowerMail, or custom ones?

PM does not use mbox files. Some data is not flushed to the disk
immediately for performance reasons, and needs to be rebuild if it is not
up to date after a crash.
I don't know either other people that have a recurrent problem like yours
with PM ;-)
