Hi there,

I've send this question to the PM support couple of weeks ago, but
haven't received any response yet:

I have a strange problem I'm not able to solve: I have installed PM 5.01
on our brand new FamilyMac G5 dual 1.8 which replaced our aging beige G3.
The accounts were transferred to the new machine via CCC. Everything is
working great, except for PM on my wife's account.

When closing PM, it gives an error on not being able to write to one of
the user files. Clicking OK brings up another error message 'A PM Engine
error occurred' and clicking on the 'More Info' button brings up another
message, stating an error in Class=MAS; what=1; when=100. Clicking OK
then crashes PM throwing a crash log message.

However, this _only_ occurs, if PM (or oneself via the menu buttons) is
opening SpamSieve to filter messages or to label them as spam/good. As
long as one gets messages which do not trigger SpamSieve to open, PM
closes just fine. But as soon as PM and SpamSieve were 'talking to each
other, closing of PM will give the discribed errors.

I checked PM's as well as SpamSieve's permissions (Application Support
and Mail folders) and everything seems fine and is 'Read & Write' to that
particular user. I trashed Prefs, user folders, even created a fresh new
user (Standard) - still the very same error. Btw, this error does not
occur in the Administrator account.

Thanks for any input.

Cheers,

Karsten
