I created a new database and did a test send. Worked great.


Here is what I've tried:


Option-command click Powermail to get to "first aid", and checked all options.

Put an outgoing filter first in the list with no action, to bypass all
other filters.

Turned off background indexing in preferences.

Deleted a few hundred messages. My database is fairly large, with dozens
of folders.


None of these things had any perceptible effect, except the new database.
