I've noticed exactly the same behaviour. Just to be clear, I am talking
about a *separate* Mac OS X user on the same machine, not separate PM
databases for the same account.

The first account (mine) has Administrator privileges, the second is a
regular account.

Repairing permissions did not help. I thought it might as the second
user did not have permissions to open the icon files manually from within
the PM package contents. Is that normal?

It did, at least, fix the application icon. For some reason the PM 5
icon was showing a generic OS X app icon for that user before repairing
permissions; now the PM 5 icon shows properly.

I also tried the two PM 5 repair options (using CMD-OPT at startup) which
seemed to apply: Window and Misc. options. No go with that either.
