The smart and customer-friendly thing would have been for them to call me to verify that the UD$30 charge was valid instead of making my account inactive and causing me problems. Other credit card companies have used this procedure. Perhaps, if 1000s of dollars were being suddenly being charged to my account, their actions would have made more sense.
