I have been finding (even before R5) that when I look at my WINDOW menu I have lots of open messages that I thought I had dealt with (sometimes a dozen or more). Most of them are in the trash......I haven't been able to figure out how they got there. I think I finally figured it out.... When I have a message open I have TWO trash can icons sitting in front of me, one in the message toolbar and one in the browser toolbar. Apparently my tendency is to hit the one higher up on the page..... This trashes the messages but the action of clicking on the browser window pushes the message to the back.
