I don't see this with OS X 10.2.8. New message window opens with "No Subject" highlighted, tab goes to "Name" and then the message window. All as expected here. However I do note that the File -> New menu contains two new message options, cmd-n and alt-cmd-n which is not as expected. -- david.gordon
