Hello - I'm very new here, just trying to get AOL to work with PowerMail (or vice versa) on my new iMac before the demo runs out in a few days, just having made the jump to Panther from an old Performa running OS 8.6.
I can read my AOL mail okay, but cannot send anything. I've got my receiving panel set to connect to smtp.aol.com, port 587, set to authenticate with my username (normalized to charliez) and password entered, and secured connection not checked. Most of the time I just see a message in my status window that says "Login as charliez", but I've also occassionally seen an error window pop up that says: Unexpected error on "smtp.aol.com:587 Class='NetC', what=1, when=6, err=268435556 Any ideas?
