It would be nice to have a choice, for those of us that prefer the opposite. Now that I also have to sync information with my Palm, I don't want one more app fiddling with my contacts unsupervised. Especially now that I've decided that I'd like to go back to using iCal and Apple's Address Book. I only switched so I could help the hubby learn to use the Palm. But he's decided he doesn't care for the desktop compatibility features and just uses it to backup his handheld data because I force him to do so. If he were to lose all his data, I'd be the one doing all the work to get it back. To him, backup and syncing is far too "geeky" so he prefers to gripe about technology requiring too much effort and knows I will do it for him to avoid having him go into a meltdown over lost data. But he also thinks using a dedicated email application is geeky. I do frequently, but not regularly backup the Address Book to vcards also. I don't want to feel the need to inspect PM's address book, but I do because my email filters and PM depend on it, so losses and hiccups would put my data at risk. cheshirekat -- Sometimes even to live is an act of courage. - Lucius Annaeus Seneca, writer and philosopher * 867 PowerBook G4 * OS X 10.2.8 * 768 MB Ram *
