Well, I had problems with shortcuts when I used the haxie Application
Enhancer 1.3 (APE) and module Metallifizer active for Powermail as I
reported earlier to the list. I also had some problems later, but they
went away after I relogged in. I have no idea what they were, but I
suspected Default Folder, but after relogged in shortcuts worked even
with it activated.

Not great help I suppose, but sharing my experience.
