Would be nice if PM made it easy to follow a file when moved. Are there
other email applications that keep track of an attachment that has been
moved or renamed? I guess I haven't paid attention since my email just
remains in PM temporarily.

Here's a script to open the PM attachment folder.

<Begin AppleScript>
to getAttachmentFolder()
        tell application "PowerMail"
                return (the attachment folder)
        end tell
end getAttachmentFolder

set the attachedFilesFolder to my getAttachmentFolder()
tell application "Finder" to open the attachedFilesFolder
<End AppleScript>
