bizarre with your PM setup.  Your second message ("PS") arrived here

As I think about it, I am certain that the entire From: line was added by
my mail server upon receipt (as [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the virtual
account on my server that handles mail for the zygoat.ca domain).

Hypothesis: PowerMail is not setting a From: address on your outgoing mail.

Do you have an address configured properly for "E-mail address" in the
Identity tab under Mail Accounts?
