Marlyse; Whoops! I was slightly inaccurate in my original post, sorry. A *single* click brings up the button's sub-menu (a double click actually calls it and then dismisses it again). My sig, stating my system specs, was also out of date, I'm also using 10.2.8. Changing my keyboard prefs to match yours made no difference. I don't use the toolbar connect button that often (just when I'm expecting an important email and just can't resist 'peeking at the mail box' so to speak) but I do use it often enough to miss it's functionality.
