So what I don't understand is why redirecting an email will remove/ delete/whatever the attachment.. I am certainly not doing anything with it.... More importantly: how can change this behavior?.... - Greg >sounds that you are maybe rather re-directing than forwarding? > >anyhow, what happens is that your attachment gets sent to the archive >folder and are there and available directly from your archived message >but has lost the path to your incoming email. grayed out means: there was >an attachment, either you moved it or trashed it or did something with >the original attachments and thus path to attachment no longer available. > >---marlyse > >>Hello, >> >>I am having a bizarre thing happening with emails which are sent to me >>which contain attachments... >> >>I have a bunch of filters which first forward a message to an archive >>account and then move a message into a folder, depending on who it was from.. >> >>Now when I am getting messages which contain attachments, they are greyed >>out and double clicking them says the attachment is no longer available... >> >>If I go into the archive account, the emails is there and I can read the >>attachment... >> >>Anyone know what is going on?.. >> >>Thanks! >> >>- Greg >> >> >> >>
