As long as you haven't started typing the message, I'd actually suggest to close the message again and open it with the correct reply mode. This can all be done from the keyboard: 1. Cmd-W 2. Cmd-N (German, probably Cmd-D for "Don't Save" in English localization) 3. Cmd-R / Cmd-Alt-R respectively Any editing of the recipients list is much more effort. You might also add 0. Cmd-A, Cmd-C at the beginning and 4. Cmd-A, Cmd-V at the end if you already have typed part of the message. You might be able to automate this to a certain extent with a Key-Sequence-Recorder/ Player or maybe using AppleScript (haven't tried it myself). However, since you need to use the mouse to execute an AppleScript, using some keystrokes might be still faster and more convenient. - Christian
