One way to reduce this problem is to tell PowerMail to partially retrieve messages that are over (say) 200k (in Setup/Mail Accounts). Later on, you can Control-Click on any partially retrieved messages to retrieve them completely. If you retrieve them individually PowerMail is less likely to crash. Jeremy
