No kidding, I am restarting Powermail 12-15 times a day on my MacBook
Pro. It especially likes to crash on large file emails, anything over
about 3MB I need to restart several times, and sometimes, just go to the
web interface to complete the job, Being in graphic design, I see an
awful lot of large files being sent.

Even an alpha version would be worth trying at this point for me.
