I recently signed up for T-mobile Web and am trying to connect via the
bluetooth modem on my cell phone. Everything works as advertised,
except for Powermail. To get email, Tmobile sets up a pop-server called
myemail.t-mobile.com which acts as a bridge to my real email servers.
Supposedly, mail clients can then check mail using the following account
configuration:

POP server: myemail.t-mobile.com
SMTP server: myemail.t-mobile.com
User account: [my-mobile-phone-number]:n where n is a digit assigned by
t-mobile for each email address I add.
Password: the real email password on the real mail server

I created a new account Powermail with this information, but when I try
to connect to download mail, I get the following: Hostname "myemail.t-
mobile.com" not found during DNS lookup

However, nslookup is able to find the correct IP address, and replacing
the hostname with the IP address generates the same error.

Apple mail works and is able to connect and download the mail.

Does anyone know how to get Powermail to work for this kind of connection?

Thanks,
jrh
