HI Marina: 1. Email settings are contained in each account (Setup:Mail Accounts...) and are in three tabs. You have to get some details from your ISP, or check the required details in the emailer you are using at the moment.
Tab 1 Identity: Fill out the fields with your email address and other information. In the Advanced section you can add headers in the "Other headers" such as return receipt details e.g. Return-Receipt-to: Marina <[email protected]>. The return receipt option works for all mail sent from a particular account. Unlike Eudora you cannot reply to someone else's request for a return receipt, but you can request one from recipients you email. If you don't want to have return-receipt for all recipients of a particular account, then set up another with all the same details, leave "other headers" blank and call the account "Marina2" or whatever. Tab 2 Receiving Set the protocol. In my case I always use POP3, I never use IMAP set your user account ID in my case my email address entered in Tab1 so try the email you are using such as "[email protected]" Set your incoming mail server, for example mail.lockedbags.org (you will have to find out the actual server name from your ISP, or find it out in the current mail application you are using Save the password you are using for your email address Advanced connection details: you will have to find out what your ISP uses, for example use secure connection (SSL/TLS) Use port 995 on a dedicated secure port Tab 3 Sending Outgoing SMTP Server. Again find out what your ISP uses. Could be the same as the incoming mail (for example mail.lockedbags.org) or it could be something like smtp.mail.lockedbags.org - ask your ISP. Set your email address which is one you have already registered with your ISP (and be the same as set out on the other tabs) Type in your password that you registered with your ISP. Set the secure connection (once again as your ISP says) for example check "Use secure connection (SSL/TLS)"; check "Use port: 465" 2. Stationery PowerMail does not have stationery afaik. I got used to creating stationery using Applescript and it works fine, even though I am a total amateur in Applescript. If you want to go ahead with buying PowerMail I can send you some sample scripts and instructions. There is a handy scripts menu item to the left of the "Help" menu and you can easily access your stationery from there. I still think Eudora had the best email stationery setup ever. Don't know why other emailers lack this essential tool.
