Hi :-)

Thank you for your help! All works now in the test account I set up - I had probably left out one of the required password, so thank you for detailing the process so accurately!

I agree, to me Eudora-style stationery is a fundamental requirement for a "professional" email client and it's a mystery why current, most "advanced" (and 20 years more modern) programmes don't seem to be able to offer the same simple, yet powerful functionality. Mailsmith being the only exception in this regard, as it does offer Eudora-style stationery. [--end of rant--]

Also many thaks for your generous offer! If you didn't mind sharing a few Applescript examples, I'd truly appreciate some guidance there. I'm not a programmer... but I do understand a few things about computers, and hope I can get the gist of it - at least for some of my simplest requirements. Will definitely let you know when I'm ready.

Many thanks again,

Cheers :-)

HI Marina:

1. Email settings are contained in each account (Setup:Mail Accounts...) and are in three tabs. You have to get some details from your ISP, or check the required details in the emailer you are using at the moment.

2. Stationery
PowerMail does not have stationery afaik. I got used to creating stationery using Applescript and it works fine, even though I am a total amateur in Applescript. If you want to go ahead with buying PowerMail I can send you some sample scripts and instructions.

There is a handy scripts menu item to the left of the "Help" menu and you can easily access your stationery from there.

I still think Eudora had the best email stationery setup ever. Don't know why other emailers lack this essential tool.
