Hi all:

I'm trying to use Powermail to send/receive mail via POP3 from a Hotmail
account without much success. I can get mail but not send it. The Hotmail
account is set to use POP3 and the PowerMail settings I'm using are:

RECEIVING:
Account ID: Hotmail email address

Incoming server: pop-mail.outlook.com

Use secure connection on Port 995

On a dedicated secure port

SENDING:

Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com

Authenticate as user: Hotmail email address

Use secure connection Port 587

On a dedicated secure port.

Neither sending nor receiving uses STARTTLS. Receiving works OK at present but
sending just hangs.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Chris

Further to my previous post, I'm now getting:

unknown error occurred:
Class = SSL  what = 1 when = 2  err = 1

I think this is happening purely on sending mail. It does point to something
with the secure connection but the rest of the error msg doesn't mean anything
to me.

Chris
