I asked Canberra about their spectroscopy software a couple months ago & got this answer:
There are currently no 64 byte drivers for the hardware (e.g., DSA-1000, Lynx, etc.). Have to ask Canberra for an ETA on them. This means that none of the Apex products, except perhaps Alpha-beta will work under any 64 byte operating system until those drivers are available. Tennelec/Eclipse should work providing you can get a driver for the IEEE4888 card. My information may be out of date, but I’m sure that Canberra will correct me if I’m wrong. Radiation Protection is currently testing our legacy software to see if it works with the 64 bit version. The upgrade will be from the 32 bit version of Windows XP Professional. One of the issues indentified has been with the software used to calibrate Eberline AMS-4's and RMS-3's. Is anyone using the 64 bit version of Windows 7? If so, what issues with RP software have you experienced and how did you work through them? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
