At Fort Calhoun, we do not perform annual whole body counts on all workers.
However, we do perform regular random counts each month. Additionally, part of
the process for verifying the < 10% of an ALI involves counting & trending the
particulate air sampler filters.

This is on top of any targeted InVivo measurements based on an event (e.g.,
facial contamination, high airborne radioactivity, portal monitor alarm, etc.)

Subject: Powernet: Annual Whole Body Counts

Cooper Nuclear Station asks the following:
Does your facility perform annual whole body counts on any portion of the
workforce to ensure that passive monitoring is effective in detecting less than
10 percent of the applicable ALI(s) in table 1, columns 1 and 2, of Appendix B
20.1001 -20.2402.

Thank you for your response.
Please respond directly to Robert McDonald.
