FENOC processes describe that the setpoints are based on expected working
area dose rates and expected dose. When applied to Containment
activities, the setpoints are based on the previous outage as found dose
rates and HIS-20 reports that provide maximum electronic dosimeter dose
rates. Within 10 days or so, the setpoints are evaluated for
appropriateness. We also utilize a "field change" process which allows
changes to setpoints based on discrete activities. These may remain in
effect no longer than one shift before a RWP revision is required.

Duke currently establishes RWP dose and dose rate setpoints based on
historical data for outages, with various tasks under the RWP having
setpoints commensurate with the area work is to be performed. Does anybody
have a process where they would adjust these established setpoints once the
unit is off-line, and initial surveys are completed, dependent on
conditions identified?
