Cooper Nuclear has the following guidance in our "ALARA and Job Planning"
procedure for comparing initial surveys to RWP setpoints:

"3.5 When the job is started, ALARA or Radiation Protection will review the
initial work area surveys to validate dose rate and exposure assumptions used
during package development. If during the review of the original surveys it is
determined that radiological conditions were not as anticipated, the package
should be evaluated for possible revision."

Additionally, the dose rates in our Drywell have been recorded for 4 cycles and
compared to determine the overall increase during the last operation cycle.
Prior to the start of work, surveys are performed and that information has been
used to establish estimated dose prior to work beginning. A copy of our EXCEL
worksheet could be sent if you request.

Subject: Powernet: RWP Setpoint Changes

Duke currently establishes RWP dose and dose rate setpoints based on historical
data for outages, with various tasks under the RWP having setpoints
commensurate with the area work is to be performed. Does anybody have a process
where they would adjust these established setpoints once the unit is off-line,
and initial surveys are completed, dependent on conditions identified?
