At PSEG (Hope Creek and Salem) we bag the ED in a small lightly tinted bag (no
clear bags for FME concerns and no whirl paks because of the wire in the
tie-wrap), while the TLD generally stays on the lanyard with the worker"s
security badge.

Subject: Powernet: TLD and ED in bag
Columbia requests the following information.

1) Do you place the TLD and electronic dosimeter (ED) in a protective bag when
working in a Contaminated Area?

2) If not, what is the reason for not doing so?
