Hi All,
Diablo Canyon response below:
1) No. We attempt to build a lifetime Form-4 for our permanent company
employees. We gather no lifetime dose information for anyone else.
2) No. If current year data is not in PADs we accept worker estimate
and then will request the record.
3) Yes, but for current year only. We have a two way interface with
PADS. During outage in-processing we pull data down from PADS prior to
worker arriving.
4) Approximately 5 minutes if all PADS data is in house system,
Sentinel. Anywhere from 10-20 minutes if we must manually enter data
into our house system.
5) Normal Operations -
-1.5 FTE clerical staff for dosimetry in-processing and all other
functions other than TLD processing
-1.5 FTE TLD processing staff
-2 FTE management including supervision and technical staff for
dosimetry records and processing.
Outage
-4-5 FTE clerical staff for dosimetry in-processing and all other
functions other than TLD processing.
No change in staff size for TLD processing and management during
outages.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Linda

Subject: Powernet: Dosimetry Benchmarking Questions
STP would like to know the following Dosimetry Benchmarking Questions:
1. Do you require a detailed lifetime exposure records, NRC Form 4,
when personnel process in?
2. Do you require a written record from each licensee, NRC Form 5,
for the current year when personnel process in?
3. Do you utilize PADS when the new individual does not have a dose
estimate?
4. Approximately how many man-hours are spent on processing one
person in; including time it takes person processing in to provide
documentation?
5. How many persons, techs and professional staff are involved in
your dosimetry program during outages and normal operations? Include
TLD issuing and collection, whole body counting, dose records
maintenance, processing personnel TLDs, etc.
Thanks,
