North Anna classifies PCEs into 3 levels: IF the detected contamination level is > 100 and < 5,000 ccpm, THEN CLASSIFY as a Level 1 PCE IF the detected contamination level is > 5,000 ccpm AND < 50,000 ccpm, THEN CLASSIFY as a Level 2 PCE IF the detected contamination level is > 50,000 ccpm, THEN CLASSIFY as a Level 3 PCE

If the contamination level is greater than 100 counts per minute on a standard frisker, it is counted as a PCE except for the following conditions: * Contamination < 100 ccpm * Medical Radionuclide(s) * Events that involve ONLY internal contamination * Noble Gases and Noble Gas Decay Products * Radon and Radon Decay Products * Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) What instances of contamination on a person or clothing would not qualify as a PCE?
