Palo Verde RP has numerous initiatives in place to capture institutional memory and to perform knowledge transfer. For example, all new engineers go thru a legacy program where they are exposed to all site disciplines. We have performance and process improvement organizations, and several identified business plans identifying the need to do this. the site is currently undergoing a major procedure re-write process and RP is using this to capture as much institutional memory into the revise procedures. We also use the RP ALARA/Planning process, job history files, ALARA plans and RWPs to capture this type of information.
