We have a task guide database that RP uses to record lessons learned during different job evolutions. It is a home built access database that we have used for several years now.
We also implemented a program of Radiological Protection Hold Points. These put hold points in Operations procedures which basically would have them stop and notify RP before they were to do something that would change radiological conditions in the plant. We have a corresponding set of procedures that lets RP know what needs to be done for each of the hold point notifications. In a plant emergency they would act first before contacting us. For example if they were to do a resin transfer this would outline which rooms to post and survey. We are starting to bring a lot of new technicians in that do not have the experience of those that are retiring. You may contact me for further information Chuck Creamer Charles E.
