At Fort Calhoun we use a disposal safety glove that has Kevlar in it for the
palm and fingers, but there are times that we allow leather or specialty gloves
(example welding).

Subject: Powernet: Work glove controls for containment/drywell

Salem Generating Station is trying to implement some radiological controls for
work gloves (leather, etc) that are used in our containment building (a posted
CA). We are reaching out to others in the industry to see if you have any
particular controls that RP employs to provide additional radiological control
on these gloves. Do the workers hang their gloves in designated areas for RP
to survey on some periodic basis? Do you offer launderable work gloves and
they get washed at the end of the shift? Thanks in advance for all responses!
Alex
