For a long time Palo Verde checked all LHRA locks shiftly, however per Reg.
Guide 8.38, 1.2.5 Verification of Controls we changed this periodicity to
weekly (during non-outage periods) we nevertheless retained the once per shift
check during outage periods. We typically do not incur any dose was performing

Subject: Powernet: LHRA door check

Browns Ferry currently conducts a weekly walk down of our Locked High Radiation
Area Doors. Based upon the use of secondary locking devices and second party
checks when securing an area we are looking at reducing this frequency to
biweekly. What frequency do you check your locked high rad doors? Being a 3
unit BWR, we have about 100 of these doors so this can be a dose saving measure.
