fermi2 - we use nuclear grade ray chem heat shrink, we encase the probe and connector, water tight, no FME or chem control issues, easy decon, simple to remove (simply slit and peel off ray chem) probe remains clean. we've used this method successfully for years. call if you want specific "how to do it" and what size of raychem to use.
