Chris,

Palo Verde uses the iPAM-Tx only for personnel monitoring. The latching alarm
and shake mode settings in the iPam themselves are not enabled here; however,
we do use the latching rate alarm setting on the dosimeter itself (must be
Version 2.8 or higher) , this is set at calibration and is verified via the
Sentinel access control system. The default iPam settings that we use will
translate alarms to the LEDs, vibration or shake feature and the audible alarms
via the isoconnector.

Duke Energy would like to know, for those using Mirion's iPAM-TRX, are the
following features used and to what extent (area, personnel, all, etc):

1. Latched dose rate alarms (alarms last for 1-8 cycles)

2. "Shake" mode (my understanding is it's a sleep mode for longer battery
life)

Thanks!
