SQN'S response
1) How does your site establish dose goals: Each job, each day? Online, each job is required to have an estimate on a daily basis. This is tracked and deltas greater than 5 mrem are discussed in daily Plan of Day meetings. Outage, every millirem goes through Site ALARA Committee. Once the dose is approved each ALARA Plan will be tracked daily versus an estimate curve. Departments have to answer if they are above the curve at shiftly outage meetings. Monthly estimates have to be presented at Site ALARA Committee. If the work groups go over a service request is submitted and the departments have to document reasons why estimate was exceeded (or significantly underperformed). Weekly goal per workgroup (e.g., mechanical maintenance, RP, Ops, etc)? Reported out weekly, just addition of the daily work projections. Other (please explain)? 2) Does your site require ON SHIFT personnel (Ops, Chemistry, RP) to login on an RWP with an electronic dosimeter at the beginning of shift and remain signed in all day? Our site discourages being logged in all day, we prefer to only have ED on if in RCA. We do have emergency EDs staged for rescue personnel.
