North Anna uses HIS-20 and does not require a secondary identification method to return electronic dosimetry.
A worker could return another worker's ED by accident but would not know unless they caught it on the return screen or attempted to sign out another ED immediately after returning their ED. This has happened occasionally when a co-worker accidently picks up the wrong ED at the SOP and caught the mistake at the issue/return station. Barbara J. Currently BFN only uses the ED in the workers possession at sign out to identify the worker. The question that arose was how do we know a worker signed out with the same ED they signed in with. Examples of secondary identification methods could be scanning a TLD. manually entering a plant ID or some other method. If you are using a means of secondary identification at the RWP exit, what method and software are you using? BFN currently uses HIS-20. Chuck Creamer Charles E.
