Do you allow workers to wear personal hard hats in posted Contamination Areas? Hard hats are company issued but go in and out of CA with worker. 2. For those that do a. Do you use hard hat covers? Yes. Covers are removed prior to exiting CA then hard hat is put on again to proceed to PCM. b. Do you allow personnel to wear their hard hat through the Personnel Contamination Monitor? Yes c. Are hard hat mounted lamps addressed differently (do you require hard hats with lamps to be released via the SAMf)? No, lamps on hard hats remain on hard hats when going through PCM. Note that cover is over lamp with hole cut out for lens.
