Subject: [powernet] Dry Cask Storage - neutron energy evaluation and n-ED

This is an EXTERNAL email. STOP. THINK before you CLICK links or OPEN
attachments.

Perry Nuclear Power Plant would like to know:

1 – During your initial dry cask storage campaign, did you characterize the
neutron energy field? Yes

2 – After the initial dry cask campaign, have you re-evaluated the neutron
energy for subsequent campaigns for establishing correction factor for TLDs? Yes

3 – What was the basis for the decision on question 2? Changed geometry of the
shielding package around transfer cask, adding neutron Boratron shielding. The
current evaluation would remain effective barring future geometry changes.

4 – Have you implemented neutron electronic dosimeters for dry cask storage? Yes

Thank you.
